The Hāpuku River Terrace is a breath-taking tiny house with crystal clear views that extend from the Hāpuku River to the sea.
The terrace is located in the foothills of the seaward Kaikōura mountain range, where you can immerse yourself in peaceful bird songs during the day and prepare yourself for an incredible night of star gazing.
Experience a relaxing soak in the outdoor bath, on the deck, just outside the bedroom, while enjoying the stunning views of water flowing down the river.

If you want to stretch your legs, there is a track you can walk or bike on our doorstep that leads you down the Hāpuku River to the beach.
Kaikōura township is a 10-minute drive with many tourist attractions, restaurants and cafes.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for a luxury stay. Make yourself at home with a cosy coffee each morning, and if you’re feeling peckish, feel free to use the hob, microwave and BBQ. Free-range eggs and freshly baked bread for breakfast is also available.

We brought this lifestyle property three years ago and dreamed of putting a tiny house on our top terrace for people to stay in.
We also wanted to make the terrace as eco-friendly as possible, which is why you’ll find a composting toilet.
We got the tiny house as a lockable shell. We did everything during the lockdowns, which made things hard, but we finally got there! And we love it! We are so excited to have guests stay to enjoy this space and the gorgeous views that come with it.
We have three incredible children, three dogs, six sheep, three cows and a cat.
